The Old is New Again
Based on an authentic alchemical formula discovered in a sixteenth century grimoire and prepared by monks for centuries, the essence of more than 100 herbs creates the basis for Certosino liqueurs.
Process
A blend of hand-harvested alpine plants are concentrated and aged together for many months before being blended with premium spirits to create one of the most complex herbal liqueurs in the world.
Heritage
The Carthusian monks of Europe, known as the Chartreuse order in France and the Certosini in Italy, have been producing and marketing liqueurs since 1764. Certosino Liquore Val D'Ema was produced by the monks of Certosa di Firenze, originally founded in 1341, until 1958 when the Cistercian order took possession of the complex.
